Here's everything we've built (and are still building) to help kids and adults understand what they're feeling.
It's Juniper's first day at a new school, and the cafeteria feels huge. So Juniper invents a Social Thermometer to find who feels warm and welcoming, and learns you don't have to change who you are, just find your people.
You don't have to change who you are. Just find your people.

A place to stand, sit, or point when saying it out loud is hard. Several emotions, side by side, so a kid (or an adult) can just point to what they're feeling.
Point to what you're feeling.

Nothing here is "normal." That's not a bug, it's the whole point. Everything is uniquely Schnerds. That weirdness is on purpose: kids and adults both let their guard down faster around something that isn't trying to look perfect.

Surrender to what is. Use what you have to build what you need. Driver or passenger, just go. Feelings move through us the same way, they don't need to be fought, just felt and let pass.

To ourselves and each other. The Schnerds are a reminder that we're in this together, learning as we go. Self-compassion is a practiced skill, not a personality trait, and it's one of the first things this whole herd is built to teach.

Don't talk at people. Talk to them. Meet them where they are. Every single time. A behavior that looks confusing from the outside almost always makes sense once you understand what's underneath it.

Every moment is an opportunity for joy. Life is to be lived, so don't miss it while you're busy. Learning about feelings doesn't have to feel heavy to matter, play is how most of this actually sinks in.
Everything above, in one place.

Wherever feelings happen, Schnerds can practice with you.
But we're not done yet.
New characters, new tools, all in the works.
Aarg is a Sea Schnerd from the Gowanus Canal, angry because home has gotten toxic. Anger isn't bad behavior, sometimes it's trying to tell you something important.
Anger is information.
